We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the end-to-end execution of a high-impact Maritime Services Platform, with a budget of 2 million OMR. The role involves managing cross-functional teams, mitigating risks, and ensuring integration with existing systems in line with national digital transformation goals. Duties and Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Governance
- Develop a detailed project charter, including scope, milestones, and success metrics.
- Align project objectives with MTCIT’s IT strategy and Oman Digital Government Policy.
- Establish governance frameworks (e.g., steering committee reporting, risk logs).
- Manage vendors, contractors, and internal teams to deliver a new e-services platform.
- Monitor budget, timeline, and quality benchmarks.
- Implement Agile/Waterfall methodologies (as appropriate).
- Conduct weekly progress reviews with technical teams and leadership.
- Mitigate risks (e.g., legacy system compatibility, data migration issues).
- Ensure change management (training, user adoption, communications).
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in managing government IT projects (GCC experience preferred).
- Relevant certificates include PMP/PRINCE2 or equivalent; familiarity with Agile.
- Understanding of Oman’s IT infrastructure and Arabic-language systems.
