Job Title: Senior Accountant – Accounting Firm Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Jeddah. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services, supporting multiple client engagements, and ensuring compliance with applicable financial regulations and standards. This position requires strong technical expertise, hands-on execution, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a professional services environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting processes for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS and SOCPA standards.
- Support accounting advisory engagements, including financial restructuring and liquidation assignments.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
- Prepare high-quality reports and documentation in both Arabic and English.
- Ensure timely submission of financial reports and regulatory filings.
- Utilize accounting systems and ERP solutions effectively (e.g., SAP, Odoo, Oracle).
- Monitor project timelines and deliverables, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices.
Requirements
Education & Experience:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, preferably within an accounting or consulting firm.
- Solid experience in financial reporting, general ledger, and advisory support.
Technical Skills:- Strong knowledge of IFRS and SOCPA standards.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, etc.).
Language Skills:- Full professional proficiency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).
Core Competencies:- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of accountability and ownership.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Professional certification such as SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Experience in accounting advisory, liquidation, or restructuring projects.
- Previous experience in a Big Four firm (EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC) is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with project management tools or methodologies.
