About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly accomplished Legal Manager to lead our legal function in Saudi Arabia. This is a senior leadership role for a commercial law expert with extensive experience in the Saudi market, a strong professional network, and a proven track record of advising on complex legal matters. The successful candidate will oversee a team of lawyers while providing strategic legal guidance and supporting the organization's business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the legal department, supervising a team of two lawyers.
- Provide strategic legal advice on commercial and corporate matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks across business operations.
- Represent the organization in negotiations and liaise with external legal advisors and regulatory authorities when required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and business partners.
- Leverage an established professional network to support business growth and legal initiatives.
- Develop legal strategies that align with the organization's commercial objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.); a Master's degree (LL.M.) is an advantage.
- Minimum 20 years of legal experience, including at least 8 years practicing in Saudi Arabia.
- Extensive experience in commercial law gained with well-known law firms or reputable organizations.
- Strong understanding of Saudi legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven leadership experience managing legal teams.
- Well-established network of professional relationships and a strong track record of client relationship management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is preferred.
