We are seeking a Design and Cost Estimation Engineer with expertise in aluminum systems and façade works. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed design drawings, material specifications, and accurate cost estimates for aluminum and façade projects, coordinating with procurement and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Prepare detailed shop drawings, layouts, and aluminum façade designs based on architectural and structural drawings.
Review client drawings, specifications, and BOQs to propose design solutions.
Ensure designs comply with local codes, safety standards, and project requirements.
Coordinate with consultants, architects, and internal teams for design approvals.
Support fabrication and installation teams with technical guidance and clarifications.
Perform quantity take-offs and prepare detailed cost estimates for aluminum systems (windows, doors, curtain walls, ACP, cladding).
Analyze material, labor, and equipment costs to develop competitive and accurate project budgets.
Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and incorporate into estimates.
Prepare tender submissions, cost breakdowns, and feasibility studies.
Track and update cost estimates based on design changes or project revisions.
Liaise with procurement, site, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Prepare technical and commercial reports for management and clients.
Assist in post-tender clarifications and cost negotiations with clients or contractors.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering (or related field).
Proven experience (3+ years) in aluminum works, facades, or cladding projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or other CAD software.
Strong knowledge of aluminum systems, ACP, glazing, and façade materials.
Solid understanding of quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and tendering processes.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects.
